about
... but the lyrics make sense?
I mean, the intention of the original is there. It’s just... very strangely executed.
So one day, I had an idea to rewrite the lyrics. Some parts were fine (and/or I couldn't think of a better option), but some parts honestly needed a complete overhaul. My main goal was to match an element of epic-ness while still having the charm of the original, and - most importantly - make them more Sonic-like.
And here we are, a month of writing and music-making later.

lyrics
On a Sunday, out for a ride
I notice, I notice, different things that look alike
On a Sunday, out for a ride
I notice, I notice, many little things that look alike
Ice and water, dusk and dawn
Every year, the view of Fall
Spark and flame, cloud and rain
A, B, C, D…
Tuesday, Wednesday, through to Friday
Shining moons and headlights
What I say and what I think
A-B-C-D-E-F...
A short time ago (A short time ago)
I was born (I was born)
And then memorized (and then memorized)
By the world’s own names
On this planet, running with freedom
I notice, I notice, different things that are alike
On this planet, running so free
I notice, I notice, unexpected things that are alike
Air and oxygen
Sterling sparkling, riches, gems
History and fairytales
A, B, C, D
Night and universe
Endless ocean, dipping pool
In my mind and in real life
A-B-C-D-E-F...
A long time ago (a long time ago)
A young boy (a young boy)
Had a restless life
Making his own names
On a Sunday, out for a ride
I notice, I notice, different things that look alike
On a Sunday, out for a ride
I notice, I notice, different things that look alike
On this planet, running with freedom
I notice, I notice, different things that are alike
On this planet, running so free
I notice, I notice, unexpected things that are alike
Everything is born from this planet
Your wonder, your dreams, and even thoughts that entertain
Anything I do could destroy it
The peace that you strive for,
Or even change our destiny
And everything is…
On this planet, out for a ride
I notice, I notice, different things that are alike
On this planet, out for a ride
I notice, I notice, different things that are alike
On this planet, running with freedom
I notice, I notice, different things that are alike
On this planet, finding my freedom
I notice, I notice, new and universal look-a-likes
